The carnival winner was Sydney West, continuing their great run of victories over recent years. It also meant a double for Sydney West in 2008 as the boys team won their carnival only two weeks before. The three days of the carnival saw a great deal of rain but, thanks to the efforts of officials, players, parents and local clubs, the carnival was completed, albeit at a number of different venues.
